Event Marketing - 20th Anniversary Celebration

I was in charge of organizing meetings for the anniversary with the founders, managers, and staff. I took images and videos from the event and created marketing videos. You can watch the videos in my video section (have link to videos).

I joined the team a month before we had the celebration. I learned a couple of things when making an event and the big one is time. Getting things done earlier than later was best.

We created T-Shirts for customers, a 50-50 raffle, a progressing sale, bake sale, hot dogs.

I would have done a couple things differently. I think knowing the brand more I could have catered to the company more with the design of the flyers. That includes using the brands color palette.

I made the flyers, save the dates, and Facebook banner for the event on Adobe Illustrator.

Overall the celebration was a great success.

Website & Social Media

I got the opportunity to create a new website with the founder. One of his main goals was to make it mobile friendly since most of their viewers on mobile. I am also proving images and videos for the founders to share on social media.

Marketing Internship, 2019

I completed an internship at Colebrookdale Railroad located in Boyertown, PA. My responsibilities included maintaining a strong brand, sending and creating flyers via email, and managing their social media across Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

This was a great experience for me because I was emerged in a creative atmosphere that represented the railroad well. I found that I was able to capture a lot of information into one flyer and change my designs to meet the Colebrookdale demographic and brand image.

Flyers

The flyers I created were attached to the emails that were sent to the Colebrookdale subscribers. I incorporated previous designs of the company into a modern version. I provided mass information about the upcoming excursions onto the flyers which the marketing director provided for me. Many of the subscribers to Colebrookdale Railroad are an older demographic so I kept this in mind when creating the flyers by including important information in larger text.

Social Media

One of my tasks at my internship with the Colebrookdale Railroad was managing the social media. They had three social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. I used Hootsuite to create a schedule for when the social media posts were sent out. I scheduled two posts each day providing information on the most recent updates of excursions, the process of building the new Pottstown station, and cancelations of excursions. I used archive photos and some of my own photos for the social media.
