Film Photography
Contemporary Photography Inspired by Brett Weston
In my Photography I introductory class at Albright College, I was able to practice with film photography and complete a project that would bring me to my first college exhibition. Our project was to choose photos out of the Albright College Brett Weston collection and reflect his work into ours. They then would be hanged together in the Freedman Gallery at Albright College.
I chose three photographs from Brett Weston including Untitled (Paint), Untitled (Locomotive, 1927), and Untitled (Broken Window, Glass). To create my inspired photos I went to the Geigertown train graveyard and took photos using a Nikon film camera. I developed my film in the dark room and scanned the photos onto the computer. I edited the photos in Adobe Photoshop and created these three photos.
Not only were these photos featured in the Freedman Gallery but also on the Albright College website under the 2019 Contemporary Photography Inspired by Brett Weston from January 2nd to February 10th. My photo was also used for the gallery poster and featured on the undergraduate programs for art.

Campus Film Photography
I got the opportunity to work with a film camera for the first time in my Photography I class at Albright College. I got to experience the dark room and learn how developing film works. In this series it's a beginner steps on taking different themes of photography including texture, line, rule of odds, asymmetry, and repetition.
