Graphic Design
I have provided below a range of different Graphic Designs I have completed. I have been a graphic designer for 8 years and something I enjoy about Graphic Designing is really learning to understand my client. Finding out the wants and needs and overall just personally and traits of the company then being able to produce that in a graphic. I have also realized that it does take time and revisions to get to the outcome but the process is always worth it.

Logo for HomeWorks Premium Thrift
I created a new logo for the company after they had the same logo for 20 years. I worked closely with the founders and created a new logo that reflected the brand.
As a Christian non-profit ministry. The quote used on the T-Shirts is. a common saying customers say when in the building.

20th Anniversary Celebration Flyers and Save the Dates for HomeWorks
We designed the logo prior to this event, which I knew we would want to use on the marketing materials. I designed a flyer for print and a banner to be used on Facebook. I included the name of the event, dates, times, location, and some events we were having as well. I also added QR codes that would take the customer right to the website or social media. Overall, I wish I had a little more time to design this and correlate it to the brand. I used fun pastel colors, but once the founder wanted the blue we picked out for the logo, I think it clashes a little. Overall, we were very happy with the outcome, and customers enjoyed reading it.
20th Anniversary Celebration Save the Dates for HomeWorks
I provided below three different versions of the Save the Dates I designed for HomeWorks Premium Thrift. I made them so they could be printed then cut out from 8.5x11 sheets of paper. I gave the descriptions of them below. Customers seemed to like them and I believe it helped the staff promote the event as well by having something to hand out.
Save the Dates
Edit 1
Once printed, seen customers having difficulty reading the small print.
Save the Dates
Edit 2
Made the print larger and then a customer asked what days of the week the celebration is.
Save the Dates
Final Edit
Added the days of the week to the celebration
Brand Logo
I created a logo to use for this website and other forms of media I may need to for. This logo incorporates all the medias I am most passionate about which includes photography, videography, and graphic design. I designed the symbol to be a aperture lens to represent photography and videography and then I added a line pattern to represent graphic design. I created this logo using Adobe Illustrator and exported them as vectors.

Travel Vlog Logo
I designed this logo to be used for my friend and I's travel vlog. The J and K stands for Joshua and Kierstin and I incorporated a plane for travel. I wanted a bold font to use for the letters which then contrasts with the type for travel vlog. Videos will be uploaded on YouTube and will feature this logo in the beginning and at the end of the video. They are vectors so the video will be visible through the plane.

Web Design
Layout of Websites
Website for HomeWorks Premium Thrift
I created a new website for the company after they had the same website for 20 years. I had some design freedom when creating their new website. A major fix the founders wanted was for the website to be mobile friendly.
Packaging Design
Print material for bags, boxes
Packaging Design
In my Illustration & Design II class at Albright College I had the opportunity to create my own packaging design. I created a tea box using Adobe Illustrator
My design idea was to captured a warm grandparent recipe of green tea. I created a tea cup to resemble a bird then incorporated the swirl like designs in the tree to represent the swirling of the tea. I made a pattern by using the pattern tool in adobe illustrator with the design in the top left corner. This shape is also used for the birds wing. I designed this tea box in black and white first and then added color at the end. I added color at the end because I would be able to use this design for more than one type of tea. For example, I imagine changing the colors for orange and maroon for a ginger tea.
One of the most rewarding parts about this project was being able to print my packaging design and assemble it physically. My sizing was a little off and It could be packaging for a trial tea subscription.

Publication & Typographic Design
Photobooks and magazines, letterheads
Letterheads for Craneum Learning
Seeing my letterheads that I have made during my time at Craneum Learning has shown me how much I can grown as a graphic designer. As I started with the letterhead designs, I created layouts that looked good to me and that made sense for myself and my research. Throughout this I found my groove and knew what my client would like and match the brand. That included sticking with a color scheme and symmetry with the brand.
Until Next Time
In my Illustration & Design II class at Albright College I created a printed photo book using Adobe Indesign and Blurb. I decided to take the photos that I taken while traveling to Europe to create this book. I created the layout to be photo based but I did add some text giving some insite to the photos. I used a four column layout along with a 0.5 inch bleed along the outside.
I added a link to my photo book in pdf form when the cover below is clicked. This was my first time creating over a 20 page book and it was a nice experience to make it how I want. The best experience however was seeing it in print form. It is different to see how the pages look online vs in print. Somethings that surprised me was how tiny the page numbers looked online vs print. Another was how I would alter the font to be smaller because in print it was a lot larger than I anticipated. Overall I would like to create more photo books that showcase my work and it is nice to share with family and friends.
Magazine Layout
I designed this magazine layout in my Illustration & Design II class at Albright College using Adobe InDesign. I used several different design factors including a running head, headline, credit, intro/kicker, folio, pull quote, subheads, image captions, and bylines. I used lorem ipsum for filler text around the layout and the photography is all original.

Flyers for Colebrookdale Railroad
The flyers I created were attached to the emails that were sent to the Colebrookdale subscribers. I incorporated previous designs of the company into a modern version. I provided mass information about the upcoming excursions onto the flyers which the marketing director provided for me. Many of the subscribers to Colebrookdale Railroad are an older demographic so I kept this in mind when creating the flyers by including important information in larger text.

Illustration Design
Digital drawings
Infographic
In my Illustration & Design I class at Albright College I created a Infographic using Adobe Illustrator. This infographic is a map of great white shark migration along the east coast. I incorporated many elements into this infographic including great white shark facts, descriptions, and images. I did my own image trace for the east coast and the sharks. I used bright colors to capture the migrating patterns and matched them to the sharks they were from. I could see this infographic being used in a student classroom.

Fan Art
In my Illustration and Design I class at Alright College I created fan art using Adobe Illustrator. I created fan art for Pokemon Go using objects from the game. I image traced the pokémon great ball and the pinap berry. I used the great ball from the first fan art as a pattern in the second fan art. I designed the shadow great ball as a poster and the design with the pinap berry is designed to be a beach towel.

Wedding Designs
I had the honor in creating some great designs for a Wedding. The signature drink was printed out and framed and the pretzel. I created these on Adobe Illustrator.

Article Graphic
In my Illustration and Design I class at Albright College I created article graphics using Adobe Illustrator. I created a graphic element for an article for the Chick fil A chicken sandwich vs the Popeyes chicken sandwich. I created designs that can be used for a poster, web, tumbnail, and magazine. I followed strategic outputs for each form of art including pngs and jpgs.
